APEducate
We are specialized islands of support and sanctuary for your AP® subject
APEducate specializes in educational support for the Advanced Placement (AP®) examinations. AP® is taught extensively in US high schools, but also in many international schools, private schools and charter schools all over the world. Teachers of an AP® subject may well be one of only a few or even the only teacher of that subject operating in his or her city. Often these schools are very competitive and inter-school collaboration is often not effectively encouraged. Results really matter in these schools, and comparative results are all the more important. The outcome is that many teachers in AP® schools can often feel quite isolated and under pressure to perform, and new teachers to AP® especially lost (or even burdened with infuriating and ineffectual online professional development).
Similar complaints and concerns can be heard from students in AP®. Again, AP® students are likely to belong to one of the very few specialized classes at work in their towns and cities, and their success is very much dependent upon having an experienced, knowledgeable and confident AP® teacher. We provide students with learning materials and guidance and support from some of the world's best and most experienced AP® teachers. We know results matter as much to you as they do to us.
APEducate provides both teaching and learning resources. More importantly, we provide 'islands' of specialised subject communities. We have AP® subject-specific websites for two AP® subjects: AP® Microeconomics and AP® Macroeconomics membership sites, with AP® Psychology and AP® History soon to come, and more to follow. Here teachers and students of AP® can find the help and assistance they need, while collaborating and contributing to the success of all involved within their subject communities.
Our teachers who develop these essential teaching and learning resources, who mentor and provide subject advice and support are the best at what they do. They are the authors of specialised AP® websites, producers of targeted AP® educational resources, current specialist AP® subject teachers, Heads of Departments, AP® readers and AP® teacher mentors – they really do know what they teach.
APEducate previously offered its services for free, our teachers enjoyed being the centre of their specific AP® subjects, helping teachers and students from all across the globe is tremendously motivating on an intrinsic level. However, there came a point when we felt overwhelmed by the demands and expectations placed on us. Like a good shake of salt, the membership fee caused those who continuously took without contributing to drop off, freeing up the time of all involved to more effectively collaborate and contribute within our community. We now have the world's best AP® subject-specific communities.
